Development Projects 2011

 

In October 2010, providers were invited to apply for funding for ESOL short life development projects.

 

The key criteria for projects was that they must clearly show that there will be a partnership approach to developing, planning and delivery of the project and should also address at least one of these areas:

 

1. Improving learner referral processes, so that learners are matched to the most appropriate learning opportunity for them.

2. Stronger partnership working between providers and across sectors to maximise the use of resources and avoid duplication of effort resulting in financial savings.

3. Better arrangements and resources for learners who have additional barriers to learning.

4. Increased opportunities for learners to undertake accredited learning.

 

15 organisations were successful and their short reports on the projects are given below.
