Message from Euan Reid, Chair of the National ESOL Panel
![]()

Welcome to ESOLScotland, the new national ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) website for Scotland.
Here you will find information about the adult ESOL strategy for Scotland and the new National ESOL Panel, of which I am Chair. In the pages of ESOLScotland, you will be able to browse or search for details of ESOL courses currently available across Scotland and for professional development opportunities for ESOL practitioners.
ESOLScotland also contains a databank of useful resources for practitioners and learners; and links to a range of guidance and support for ESOL learners. You can also find further information on how Scotland's Community Learning and Development Partnerships and colleges will support the ESOL strategy regionally.
We hope that ESOLScotland will be a valuable source of news, information and guidance for you, but we are always keen to receive any suggestions for improvement and expansion.
Any queries, comments and/or contributions are therefore welcomed and can be emailed to info@esolscotland.com.
I look forward to the challenge ahead and working with many of you to address the needs of ESOL learners across Scotland.
Euan Reid
